Founded in December 2020, Wonder Girls is a program for girls middle and high school students with a mission to build confidence, leadership, community, and business skills needed to succeed no matter what educational or career path they choose.

So what exactly is your vision? Wonder Girls co-founders Irene Zervoudis and Natalie Maniscalco believe that every young woman deserves the opportunity to thrive as a leader in her own life despite economic, social, or educational challenges. They both strive to make a positive impact on their Wonder Girls’ lives. “Our 1st Career Expo in partnership with St. Thomas Aquinas College was a success! We had a wonderful lineup of over 20 professional speakers from across industries and workshops that focused on providing career development skills from branding, resume building, and dressing for success,” said Maniscalco.

They were also able to network with each other during one-on-one and small group chats. It is very important to give students the opportunity to explore their passions and interests at a young age. Wonder Girls is about helping each other and we do that by bringing women from all different cultures to our workshops so that we can guide and support young girls to be the best versions of themselves and learn at a young age, so that we support each other can really make a difference.”

The free event provided a series of workshops that ran from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm Professional speaker, Patricia Stark, also attended the exhibit and presented the importance of public speaking and maintaining professionalism. The Cupcake Carriage also made an appearance providing delicious treats for the show.

Wonder Girls just appeared on NBC LX in a national television broadcast segment, which highlighted their uplifting work and all the amazing women who are making a difference in their communities. The Wonder Girls program is currently available to middle and high school girls in suburban New York and New Jersey. To learn more about her nonprofit, you can visit: https://www.wondergirlsusa.org
