How HPU helped you get there: “High Point University helped me get to where I am today by teaching from the bottom up, starting with the basic fundamentals. Most Impactful Mentor at HPU: “Dr. William Suchan, founding president and associate professor of computer science, was the most impactful for me because he was my teacher in many classes, but also my advisor. He guided me with the classes I wanted to take and he knew what these classes would be. He also He made it clear that he cares about his students, and he showed it both in class and with his availability outside of class. He is reassuring and truly believes in his students.”

Most shocking moment in HPU: “My most impressive moment was when my group presented our final project for our Software Engineering course, which was an air traffic control simulator”.

What are the life skills that HPU helped develop that set you up for long-term success? “I learned the technical information needed to complete interviews asking me about computer science topics, such as development software engineering and assessments on coding skills.”

What are the values ​​and virtues that the HPU campus helped you develop that you will take with you after graduation? “Some of the values ​​and virtues that I learned are how to live alone and be responsible for myself.”

Advice for freshmen: “My advice to freshmen is to listen and trust your professors. They have the experience and knowledge to guide you in the right direction when it comes to landing a job after graduation.”
